As part of their journey towards completing the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, our Year 11 and 12 iQCE students visit the local aged care centre each week, volunteering their time to connect with residents.
During these visits, students prepare meals, play cards, have a yarn, and build meaningful relationships across generations.
Students also work on artwork to recognise important Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander days throughout the year. These visits provide a valuable opportunity for students to give back to the community while developing confidence, empathy and respect.
