In Week 5, our Year 7–12 student leaders took part in their first camp for 2026 — an experience that also contributed towards completing The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Bridge Award for junior leaders, and the Bronze and Silver Awards for senior leaders.
Students took responsibility for organising and packing their own gear, setting up camp, preparing and cleaning shared spaces, and supporting one another through a range of challenges. It was wonderful to see students encouraging each other, stepping up to help others, and working together as a team.
Outside of the organised activities, students created their own fun through beach cricket, touch football, dance circles, and volleyball — with many students getting involved in activities they may not normally try.
The reflections shared at the end of camp were thoughtful and insightful, with students speaking about the challenges they overcame, the friendships they formed, and the personal growth they experienced along the way.
A huge thank you to Mr Harry, Miss Roediger, Miss Alice, Miss Fisher, Miss Kellie, and our grounds staff, who helped make the camp such a success! We also extend our sincere thanks to the Traditional Owners of the land on which we camped for allowing us to learn, connect, and stay on Country.
