My name is Brianna Elms
I attended WCC from Year 1 to Year 12
I graduated from WCC in 2015
I have completed my university studies and obtained a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and have also completed a post graduate Dimploma of Chartered Accountancy.
I'm currently working at Findex as a Manager with the Accounting and Tax Business Advisory Department.
My greatest achievements are completing my degree and diploma, and having the ability to work from anywhere in the world to see new places and meet new people.
My favourite memories from my time at WCC are the friendships made over the years. The support network within the cohorts were at most times the most memorable. Everyone was close with each other and we all had each others’ backs when times got tough.
There were a lot of teachers and staff members that were in my corner during my time at WCC who provided nothing but support to ensure I could achieve the results they knew I was capable of (even when I didn’t believe it). Having opportunities to be able to visit universities and have careers fairs certainly allowed me to really discover what I was passionate about which ultimately helped me decide what I wanted to do as a career after school.
My advise to current WCC students is to never give up on your dreams. Anything is achievable when you set your mind to it. Take all opportunities as they come (especially with an open mind) because you never know what doors they will open. Persevere through the tough times because there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Your hard work and efforts will be worth it in the end. I will forever be grateful for the amount of opportunities WCC provided during my time at the school.
