Interschool Reading Competition - Years 5-6
Students in Years 5–6 have the opportunity to participate in Reader's Cup, an engaging interschool reading competition that celebrates a love of literature and teamwork.
Working collaboratively in teams, students read a selected range of novels and deepen their comprehension through rich discussion, analysis and critical thinking. The competition challenges students to demonstrate detailed knowledge of the texts while exploring characters, themes and author intent at a deeper level.
As part of this exciting experience, students travel to Cairns to compete against other schools, proudly representing our college. Reader's Cup fosters a passion for reading, strengthens communication and collaboration skills, and builds confidence as students engage in a supportive and inspiring academic challenge.
