Queensland Association of Mathematics Teachers
The Queensland Association of Mathematics Teachers (QAMT) provides enriching mathematical experiences through Enrichment Days and Inter-Schools Challenges, designed to extend students' problem-solving abilities and foster a love of mathematics.
Years 7 and 9
Students in Years 7 and 9 have the opportunity to attend QAMT Maths Enrichment Days, organised by the Queensland Association of Mathematics Teachers. These enrichment days challenge students with engaging problem-solving activities that extend beyond the classroom curriculum.
Participation supports mathematical reasoning, creativity, and collaboration while building confidence and a deeper appreciation for mathematics.
Years 7 and 8
QAMT Inter-school Maths Challenge allows students in years 7 and 8 to compete in team-based problem-solving activities against students from schools across Queensland. The challenge promotes logical thinking, perseverance, and teamwork while applying mathematical knowledge to unfamiliar and stimulating tasks.
This experience encourages students to extend their abilities and benchmark their achievement in a supportive and motivating environment.
