Western Cape College is currently seeking applications from highly motivated persons to provide in-class support and assistance to students across Prep – Year 12 at our Mapoon Primary, Weipa Primary and Weipa Secondary campuses. 

We have a range of positions available, with flexible start dates and hours negotiable based on operational needs and applicant availability.

The successful applicant/s will be required to work closely with a team of teachers, teacher aides, and other professionals to support learning outcomes for our students.​

A04 Human Resources Officer ​

Western Cape College is seeking applications from highly motivated individuals with proven HR or payroll experience to join Western Cape College as our Human Resources Officer. ​

Reporting to the Manager, College Services, the Human Resources Officer will support the development and implementation of human resource strategies, processes and systems to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of client-focused services.

The successful candidate will also assist the Business Manager with the supervision of support staff, review local human resource systems and provide recommendations for improvement, and monitor service delivery to identify efficiencies while ensuring compliance with relevant government and departmental legislation, directives, policies and standards.​

EOI Science Technician

​​​Western Cape College is currently seeking applications for a Science Technician from a highly motivated person with proven practical skills. This is a temporary part-time position for the 2026 school year, commencing as soon as possible with the possibility of an extension. 

This is a school-based part time position, working hours and days can be negotiated with the successful applicant. The applicant will be required to work predominantly during the school term, however, will also be required to work during some of the school holiday period, predominantly the end of, and commencement of each school year.
